Uniform Satellite Provisioning
Most operators and reseller are mainly thinking about satellite billing - but satellite provisioning is a highly needed functionality to be operating a succesful satellite operator.
Satellite provisioning cover ability to capture customer data across resseler level, company level, subscriber level (vessels, airplanes, persons, sites..) as well as manage terminals / simcards in association to these users.
Most satellite networks do in a higher and higher degree need user data to be added to be able to deliver the advanced capabilities like Distress services (GMDSS) and similar. Inmarsat is in need of basically customer data across reseller, company as well as subscriber.
Our platform are directly integrated with basically any of the many Inmarsat provisioning API's that they have across Inmarsat BGAN, FBB, GSPS, M2M, GX, IDP.... This allow advanced end customer self care, real time traffic suspend when a trigger is hit, instant end to end functionality when performing actions like disconnect, activate, adding services, changing IP related parts as well as allowing management with terminal specific firewalls.

Manage Products on all Satellites
Unity are directly integrated with all remote satellite networks and their product / Sales catalogues - that mean that the user simply can build a new product in the package wizard - select Inmarsat I4, then BGAN, then group of product and then actual product - then will Unity automatically featch the needed core data linked to the products and the user can following build and add the internal parts like subscription type, allowance, select what services can use allowance etc - then select a name for the product and following make the product available in the product catalogue with associated permissions and dates to when and who can be using the product.
The generated product catalogue can be combined with rating plans and in this way be generating a sales catalogue with price details for the different customer groups.
Satellite Service Orders / Workflow
All provisioning actions no matter where or who is starting these will generate a service order that can consist of multiple workflow. A service order can be activate an Inmarsat BGAN terminal, which will generate possible several workflow - first will it send request to Inmarsat backend server to start package activation, they will answer back sat started, and following return a final status - if succesful will the next workflow be initiated that will assign an IP address from IPAM server and also perform provisioning in the redundant radius server as the last workflow.
Interface for service orders will give a good amd simple overview - and super users can click on the associated dots and see what is taking place on API level - allowing advanced trouble shooting.
Delayed Provisioning actions are fully supported allowing the user to example plan a package upgrade, a disconnect and similar using defeered service orders - these will be listed in a seperate tab that show a lis of defeered orders as well as a calendar overview - here is it possible to change a given defeered order if needed.
Package Provisioning View
Packages created, activated or syncronised will be displaying a lot of associated data in a single location - all divided into tabs to make it easier to display on a desktop interface without to much scrolling - all interface havean advanced and adaptive serch functionality, export functionality that allow CSV or Excel files - and all implemented with integrated help functionality that make it easy to access help where needed. Content based menu structures across the complete platform make sure that menu's only contain relevant and associated possibilities. If a terminal is suspended then will resume be displayed and suspend removed to illustrat this.

Overview of packages and associated actions and events are displayed in a simplified way to give a fast and easy overview - clicking further down will give more details across all.
Reseller / Group Management
Unity are delivered with a prebuild user hieraki - across reseller, company and subscriber level - these levels are having predefined user permission roles attached - that allow them to access and perform a set of given tasks - these tasks can be custimized after a user or role is added.
Reseller is currently the top level under the operator - resellers can access frontend environment and perform the provisioning and monitoring tasks that the operator is granting. Reseller can get own frontend in a white lable setup with own colors, layout and logo added - all in bootstrap format meaning it is very easy to adapt to the given resellers requirements as well as for specific projects.
Company and Subscriber Management
Advanced Self-care is one of the main features that will be enabled when having end to end satellite provisioning implemented - with direct API integrations done into Inmarsat platforms - this isn't really possible when only having billing implemented as that will only give a traffic view and not really allow any provisionig to take place.
Companies as well as subscribers covering sites, persons, vessels, aircrafts all have the ability to perform end to end provisioning allowing them to manage own distress services, billing data, vessel / aircraft numbers as well as be managing all associated terminals / simcards - when using the more advanced Inmarsat LX / GX / G2X packages will they also be able to manage all their terminals configuratins and the associated many terminals metrics maing trouble shooting very easy and simple.
Terminal / Simcard Provisioning
This level of provisioning is the most complicated part of satellite integration - it a large range of API interfaces that if offered from the different satellite network operators including Inmarsat.
Terminal and sim provisioning allow all the standard functionality across example activation, suspend, resume, upgrade, downgrade, adding / removing services, prepaid balance check, topup, hibernate and more. Unity allow direct integrated management across basically all Inmarsat products - and also where available like on Inmarsat GX direct terminal management across IP settings, port settings, BGP, NSD configuration - this capability is all needed in a normal satellite business environment for operator as well as end customers.
Inmarsat M2M management
Inmarsat M2M provisioning are managed as an integrated part of our normal API implementation - but on M2M terminals is their also implemented a dedicated M2M API that offer direct end user access to collect location, grap log files, event files, swap software, open remote web sessions to the terminals - as well as accessing the many awailable AT commands. Start a data session, start a steaming session and similar - keep track of the online terminal status.
Inmarsat M2M PRISM server
An integrated part of the provisioning setup is an implementation of a dedicated M2M PRISM server that constantly connect to the different M2M terminals no matter if they are connected over LTE/4G or satellite - this is allowing direct access to terminals in real time as well as to any connected equipment.
Remote Terminal Management
Remote terminal management id possible on Inmarsat GX as well as Inmarsat I4 Terminals (BGAN, FBB, SBB..) - On Inmarsat GX is it done directly from Unity standard provisioning interface that allow the user to manage any of the up to 32 terminal IP ports - manage IP settings, manage data channels and similar - on Inmarsat I4 is remote terminal management needing our Inmarsat SMS Gateway - this is allowing direct access to remote terminals with SMS based commands - that through the standard Inmarsat / 3GPP AT commands can get terminal to swap software from our FTP server, upload 4 types of log files, open web session, open data session, manage watchdog settings as well as establish a dedicated AT command interface allowing the customer to manage their remote terminals directly. .
Inmarsat IDP Provisioning & Messaging
Inmarsat IDP made together with Orbcomm are a world wide messaging (M2M) service - where Unity have implemented the dedicated IDP API to offer full provisioning service across terminals as well as the dedicated messaging mailboxes.
The associated IDP messaging API are also implemented allowing messages to be delivered in mailboxes - these messages are encoded to offer dedicated services like example location request - used for example on tracking fishing boats.
